2-Month Locum Opportunity in FHO Group Practice – Waterdown, ON

A family physician is looking for a locum to support her practice for 2 months, May-June 2026, with potential to extend for up to 14 months. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work 3.5 days/week in a group practice with three physicians who are all within their first ~5 years of practice.

While managing a roster of approximately 1,000 patients, the locum can expect to work 3.5 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), and with appointments booked in ~ 15-minute intervals (30 minutes for more complex appointments), they can expect to see ~20 patients per day. The locum will be required to work late on Tuesdays to cover the groups after hours clinic, as well as every 1-in-4 Saturday.

Clinic Hours (Includes lunch/admin time)

Monday: 9:30-5:00PM

Tuesday: 9:30-4:00, afterhours from 5:00-8:00PM

Wednesday: 9:30-12:30PM

Thursday: 9:30-5:00PM

Friday: Off

In addition to working alongside three other family physicians, the locum will be supported by on-site staff including nurses, receptionists, a referral specialist, and an office manager. The team uses Telus PS EMR and Heidi AI Scribe. The office space includes 9 exam rooms shared amongst the physicians, one of which is for procedures such as joint injections or skin procedures, and two that are for pediatrics. Liquid nitrogen is onsite for cryotherapy. The office offers a kitchenette and lunchroom as well as private staff washrooms. The office is in the same building as a physio group, and also has nearby services including a lab, and an OHIP physio clinic.
