The good news is that just north east of Toronto, in the heart of cottage country, we are welcoming family physicians to join our collegial team. 

We are a group of 10 supportive physicians practicing family medicine in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands. Ten of our physicians practice in our Haliburton location and one physician practices in our Minden location. Have the best of both worlds; be part of a collegial team and the support of a FHO and keep your independence while practicing in your own site located in Minden.

Part-time, Full-time or Practice sharing are all on the table. Extending practice to hospital coverage is also an option but not mandatory. Current physician wishes to retire; roster take over is an option (1200 patients) or start your own practice from scratch.

Physicians who practice as part of our FHO earn $1,800-$2,500 per clinic day, less overhead.

Large, bright and very spacious clinic. Experienced and well oiled receptionist and nurse at this location. This clinic functions as a well oiled machine! Large waiting room with huge windows overlooking the forest.

Extensive admin team support as part of the the FHO.

Competitive split

We are also affiliated, and work collaboratively with the Haliburton Highlands Family Health Team. Allied professionals include: LifeLabs, Physiotherapy, Dietician, Chiropodist, Social Work, NP

Rotation of visiting Specialists; OBGYN, Internist

Option to locum prior

Teaching site with a full rotation of residents from the University of Toronto, Queen’s and other.

Compensation is based on a blended capitation model as a physician belonging to a Family Health Organization. Financial Incentives for Full-Time Practice:

*Haliburton County also offers a two year return of service incentive to physicians moving to the area to practice Family/ER medicine full-time; $25,000/year to max of $150,000. We can be flexible to pay this annually or as a lump sum. We can also start initiate this incentive during medical school, residency or while waiting for licensure (subject to Council approval). The incentive for part-time practice is half of this amount.

*Relocation Allowance of up to $15,000 

*There is an additional financial incentive through NRRR of $97,748 (payable over 4 years) with a full-time commitment.

*Our region also qualifies for OSAP Forgiveness of $60,000 through the MOH.
