Job Description:

Village Mall Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Physician/General Practitioner to join our growing team in Red Deer. The successful candidate will establish and maintain a full-time, community-based medical practice serving patients within the clinic and in affiliated long-term care settings.

Key Responsibilities

Establish and maintain a full-time family practice within the Red Deer community.

Provide community clinic and long-term care coverage.

Examine patients, obtain medical histories, and order or interpret diagnostic tests to ensure high-quality patient care.

Prescribe and administer treatment for acute and chronic conditions.

Inoculate and vaccinate patients as required.

Advise and counsel patients and families on primary health care, disease prevention, and wellness.

Act as a patient advocate within the health care system.

Provide counselling and treatment for patients dealing with addictions.

Coordinate and manage primary care for assigned patients, ensuring continuity and comprehensive care.

Hours of Work

Approximately 40 hours per week, subject to clinic operational hours.

 

Qualifications:

Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA

Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized institution
