This position is a COMMUNITY position and is NOT part of Alberta Health Services.

Job Description:

 Provide comprehensive primary care services to individuals of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, respiratory disorders, mental health and addiction medicine. Perform in-office minor procedures. Provide preventive care measures, through ensuring vaccinations and regular health screenings are up-to-date. Has the ability to advocate for patients in their panel in terms of resources and services. Keeps up-to-date on emerging health issues as per CPSA's recommendations. 

Qualifications:
 

Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA

 Fluent in CPSA's regulations and protocols. Collaborative spirit and nature with colleagues and patients. As per the CPSA's eligibility requirements guidelines. Applicants should be Eligible for a CPSA license and willing to undergo a Practice Readiness Assessment as outlined by the CPSA. The applicant will apply for and maintain a Community Appointment with Alberta Health Services, in the Department of Family Medicine.
