Job Description
This position is a COMMUNITY position and is NOT part of Alberta Health Services.
Job Description:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, including preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Conduct routine check-ups, immunizations, and developmental screenings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals, to deliver holistic care.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on health, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric medicine and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Certification in Pediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or equivalent.
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and a family-oriented approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
