Job Description


This position is a COMMUNITY position and is NOT part of Alberta Health Services.

 

Job Description:

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, including preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Conduct routine check-ups, immunizations, and developmental screenings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals, to deliver holistic care.
  • Educate and counsel patients and their families on health, nutrition, and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as required.
  • Stay current with advancements in pediatric medicine and best practices.

  

Qualifications:

  • Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Certification in Pediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or equivalent.
  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and a family-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
