Verismo Health Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Dermatologist to join our team at East Guelph Medical Clinic, Unit A5 - 320 Eastview Road, Guelph, Ontario. Guelph and Wellington County are materially underserved for dermatology. Local family physicians routinely refer patients out of the region to Kitchener-Waterloo, Hamilton and the GTA, and wait times for routine consultation run long. The referral demand is already here; today it is simply leaving the catchment.

In a fully furnished, well-equipped environment with a dedicated procedure room, you will have the resources you need to provide exceptional dermatologic care to patients of all ages in Guelph and the surrounding Wellington County community. This is a turnkey arrangement - space, equipment, EMR, reception, booking, referral intake and billing are all in place - and it is available from one day per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive dermatologic consultation and management for patients of all ages, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic skin, hair and nail conditions.
• Perform thorough patient assessments, including history-taking, full skin examination and dermoscopy.
• Diagnose and manage inflammatory skin disease, including psoriasis, eczema, acne and rosacea.
• Conduct skin cancer surveillance and perform in-office surgical dermatology, including shave and punch biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy and intralesional injection.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including histopathology, patch testing and laboratory work.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including systemic and biologic therapy where indicated.
• Provide timely consultation reports back to referring family physicians.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
• Collaborate with the clinic's medical, nursing and administrative staff to ensure efficient, patient-centred care.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Valid medical license in the province of Ontario (CPSO), or eligibility for independent practice registration.
• Certification in Dermatology (FRCPC or equivalent), or eligibility for certification.
• CMPA coverage.
• Excellent clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
