Job Description
Verismo Health Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Gynaecologist to join our team at East Guelph Medical Clinic, Unit A5 - 320 Eastview Road, Guelph, Ontario. Women in Guelph and Wellington County wait a long time for gynaecologic consultation, and a substantial share of routine office gynaecology - abnormal uterine bleeding, contraception and IUD insertion, colposcopy, and menopause management - is currently referred out of region or absorbed by family physicians who would rather refer.
In a fully furnished, well-equipped environment with a dedicated procedure room, you will have the resources you need to provide exceptional gynaecologic care to patients in Guelph and the surrounding Wellington County community. This is a turnkey arrangement - space, equipment, EMR, reception, booking, referral intake and billing are all in place - and it is available from one day per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive office-based gynaecologic consultation and management for patients across the lifespan.
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including history-taking, pelvic examination and ultrasound interpretation.
- Diagnose and manage abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis, fibroids and pelvic floor disorders.
- Provide contraceptive counselling and management, including insertion and removal of long-acting reversible contraception.
- Perform in-office procedures including endometrial biopsy, colposcopy, vulvar biopsy, and pessary fitting and management.
- Deliver menopause and perimenopause care, including hormone therapy management.
- Conduct cervical cancer screening follow-up and management of cervical dysplasia.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work, imaging and histopathology.
- Provide pre-operative consultation and coordinate surgical care as appropriate.
- Provide timely consultation reports back to referring family physicians.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
- Collaborate with the clinic's medical, nursing and administrative staff to ensure efficient, patient-centred care.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical license in the province of Ontario (CPSO), or eligibility for independent practice registration.
- Certification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRCSC or equivalent), or eligibility for certification.
- CMPA coverage.
- Excellent clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
BENEFITS
- 80/20 fee-for-service split - physician-friendly and transparent.
- Flexible work schedule, including the option to choose days that suit your availability, from one day per week.
- Dedicated procedure room equipped for office gynaecology.
- Supportive and experienced medical, nursing and administrative team.
- Access to well-equipped, fully furnished medical facilities.
- Established referral flow from surrounding family practices - real waiting volume, with no practice to build from scratch.
- No capital outlay, no lease, no staffing costs, no EMR licence fees and no buy-in.
- Opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Front desk and admin support.
- Backend operational support.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- The clinic is conveniently located in Guelph's east end at Unit A5 - 320 Eastview Road, with ample parking for both staff and patients and direct Highway 401 access.
- A fully furnished, well-equipped clinic with a dedicated procedure room.
- This is an office-based gynaecology role; hospital and operating room arrangements are the physician's own. We are glad to discuss how an office practice here can complement existing hospital privileges.
- We offer flexible holiday scheduling to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
- New graduates, established physicians seeking additional office days, and locums are all welcome to apply.
If you are a dedicated gynaecologist looking for a fulfilling opportunity to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of patients in a supportive and well-equipped environment, we encourage you to apply.
