Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Gather relevant health information from patients, relatives, and other healthcare providers
• Conduct thorough physical examinations to diagnose illnesses and injuries
• Support patients in adopting healthier lifestyles and overcoming harmful habits
• Request and interpret diagnostic tests including bloodwork, imaging, and other procedures
• Collaborate with fellow clinicians to assess and manage physical and mental health concerns
• Prescribe and administer appropriate treatments and medications
• Participate in clinical governance and committee activities
• Administer immunizations and preventive care interventions
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Report vital statistics and communicable diseases to public health authorities
• Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring continuity and quality of care
• Coordinate and oversee primary care plans
• Deliver acute and urgent care services
• Provide empathetic counselling and guidance to patients and families on health and lifestyle matters
• Respond to medical emergencies with appropriate interventions
Qualifications & Certifications
• Certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP)
• Full or Provisional licensure from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of
