Job Title: Family Physician (Permanent, Full-Time) – Mississauga & Brampton & Kitchener
Company: Aafiyat Medical Services Corporation o/a Aafiyat Medical Centre
Location: 80-3465 Platinum Drive, Mississauga, ON L5M 2S1 (also Brampton, ON and Kitchener, ON)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time, minimum 30 hours per week
Language of Work: English
Compensation: Fee-for-service, $150–$250 per hour
Education: Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
Experience: Minimum 1 year in family medicine or general practice
Licensing Requirements:
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- Certification or eligibility with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- CMPA coverage or eligibility
Job Description: The Family Physician will provide comprehensive primary medical care to patients of all ages in a community-based clinic setting. The role involves assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic medical conditions, with a strong focus on preventive care, continuity of care, and patient education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient consultations, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory investigations
- Prescribe medications and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide preventive care, health screening, and patient counselling
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic medical records
- Coordinate patient care with specialists and allied health professionals as required
- Participate in follow-up care and continuity management
- Comply with all applicable professional, ethical, and regulatory standards
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team
Work Location: On-site at clinic locations in Mississauga, Brampton, or Kitchener, or a combination of these locations.
