Covenant Health invites applications for a Neurologist, based primarily at Grey Nuns Community Hospital, with secondary privileges at the University of Alberta Hospital.

This position holds a 1.0 FTE. This position will provide inpatient and outpatient general neurology services, with a focus on the Grey Nuns Stroke Program. The GNCH Neurology program has an outpatient clinic based at the Covenant Community Health Centre at Lakewood.

A Clinical Academic Colleague Appointment with FoMD, UofA, along with clinical teaching of both medical students and residents would be expected. 

 

Required:

·         MD or equivalent.

·         Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

·         Training in the field of stroke and stroke research.

·         Certification in Neurology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

·         Expertise and commitment to quality care and patient safety.

·         Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in the healthcare environment.

·         Understanding of Just Culture and its role in healthcare.
