6-Month Family Medicine Locum – Oshawa Ontario – Starting September 2026

 We are looking for a family physician to provide locum coverage for an approximately 6-month medical leave, starting in September 2026.    Duration and weekly schedule are negotiable.

 This is a well-established FHO+ practice in Oshawa with a diverse, loyal patient population ranging from young babies to seniors.  You will be joining a supportive group of 20 family physicians in a collaborative practice environment.

The Practice

·        Glazier Medical Centre — a large, established multidisciplinary medical centre with convenient parking and a pharmacy, lab, diagnostic imaging on site

·        Approximately 1,300 rostered patients

·        6 clinic half-days per week, plus inbox/results management, with flexibility in how the schedule is arranged

·        Dedicated, experienced MOA support to assist with your practice and day-to-day workflow

·        Nursing support on site

·        TELUS PS Suite EMR

·        Opportunity to join our FHO after the locum period if interested

 Compensation

·        $300 per half-day paid directly by the physician

·        Plus applicable FHO+ hourly payments from the Ministry

·        Plus shadow-billing income

·        75% of applicable FFS payments and non-insured fees

·        The $300 half-day stipend plus FHO+ hourly payments should bring compensation to over $500 per half-day before FFS payments and non-insured fees
