Full-Time Urologist – Health Sciences North, Sudbury, ON
Join Northeastern Ontario’s healthcare leader
Health Sciences North / Horizon Santé-Nord (HSN) is recruiting a full-time Urologist to join its dynamic and growing health care team. As the tertiary care referral centre for Northeastern Ontario, HSN serves a catchment population of more than 600,000 residents, providing advanced care across a large and diverse geographic region.
The Service of Urology at HSN currently consists of five Urologists and delivers comprehensive urologic care. The successful candidate will have access to modern facilities and equipment, including advanced laparoscopic technology, Holmium laser for endoscopic management, and a new fleet of video ureteroscopes and video cystoscopes. Part time and Locum opportunities may also available.
Qualifications
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Certification (or eligibility for certification) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons or equivalent.
- Commitment to academic medicine, including a faculty appointment with NOSM University
- Participation in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education
- Interest in research is encouraged, with opportunities available through the Health Sciences North Research Institute (HSNRI)
Physicians currently in practice or within one year of completing training are encouraged to apply. The Ontario Ministry of Health’s Community Assessment Visit Program provides coverage for travel and accommodation for candidates and their spouses to explore both the practice opportunity and the City of Greater Sudbury. Physicians who practice full-time in Sudbury may be eligible for attractive financial incentives.
