General Paediatrician – Full-Time Opportunity

Southlake Health is seeking a General Paediatrician to join our dynamic and expanding Department of Paediatrics.

About the Department

Southlake’s Department of Paediatrics is currently made up of 14 paediatricians, including 10 sub-specialists, who provide a wide range of care across the hospital and surrounding community. Facilities and services include, but are not limited to:

• 12 inpatient paediatric beds

• 12 Level 2C NICU beds

• 7 child and adolescent psychiatry beds

• Comprehensive and growing programs in Complex Care, Pediatric Oncology, and Sickle Cell Disease 

• Subspecialty care from local or community Paediatric Endocrinology, Hematology, Neurology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, and Adolescent Medicine

• Outpatient clinics including Urgent Care, Newborn/Jaundice Follow Up, Neonatal Follow Up, Hematology Clinic, Asthma Education Clinic 

Southlake is a proud and active member of the Kids Health Alliance, in collaboration with SickKids and other leading paediatric centres in Ontario. We also provide education to medical students from McMaster University’s Medical School and Family Medicine residents from the University of Toronto. We also work to provide accredited continuing medical education for our staff on a near weekly basis.

Qualifications

• Eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)

• Eligible for independent licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
