Orthopedic Surgeon (Pain Management & Injection Therapy)
Location: Medpoint Health Care Centre – London & Burlington, ON
Employment Type: Contract / Part-Time / Full-Time (Flexible)

We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team and provide image-guided and non-image-guided musculoskeletal injections for pain relief, functional restoration, and improved quality of life.
Position Summary
The Orthopedic Surgeon will focus on non-operative orthopedic care, specializing in diagnostic and therapeutic joint, soft tissue, and spine-related injections. This role is ideal for a surgeon interested in interventional pain management within a collaborative, preventive care model.
You will work closely with our physicians, physiotherapists, kinesiologists, and care navigators to deliver timely, evidence-based interventions that help patients return to function faster and avoid unnecessary surgery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic injections, including:
- Corticosteroid injections
- Hyaluronic acid (viscosupplementation)
- PRP and biologic therapies (if trained)
- Trigger point injections
- Bursal, tendon sheath, and joint injections
- Assess and diagnose musculoskeletal conditions related to pain, injury, and degenerative disease
- Utilize ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance when appropriate
- Develop personalized, conservative treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
- Educate patients on treatment options, expected outcomes, and lifestyle strategies to support recovery
- Document care accurately and in compliance with CPSO and clinic standards
- Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews and quality improvement initiatives
- Refer patients for surgical consultation when appropriate
Qualifications
- MD with Royal College certification in Orthopedic Surgery
- Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- Demonstrated experience with musculoskeletal injection therapy
- Ultrasound-guided injection training preferred
- Strong interest in non-surgical pain management and conservative care
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment
