Job Description

The Cranbrook UPCC has fantastic opportunities for family practice physicians to do short-term locums in beautiful Cranbrook, BC!

As a General Practice Physician locum, you will work with members of the inter-professional care team at the Cranbrook Urgent and Primary Care Clinic (UPCC). This state of the art clinic provides urgent and episodic care to the community of Cranbrook. The UPCC team consists of Family practitioners (FPs), nurse practitioners (NPs), registered nurse team lead, primary care registered nurses (RNs), social workers (SWs), Occupational Therapist, Mental Wellness Clinician, medical office assistants (MOAs), and a dedicated operational manager.

You can choose flexible locum dates and we welcome both full time and part time availability. We currently have opportunities for the months of January, February and March 2026. This flexibility allows you to indulge in Cranbrook’s abundant outdoor recreational activities in your time outside of work.


Cranbrook is surrounded by awe-inspiring mountains, offering endless hiking, biking and camping opportunities. The many rivers and lakes surrounding Cranbrook are ideal for a day spent on the water, whether that be rafting, paddleboarding, kayaking or canoeing. Explore the charming town of Cranbrook and enjoy food trucks, local artisans, farmer’s markets and quaint restaurants.

You have the flexibility to propose your own schedule and add a little vacation into your locum!
