Amherstview, Ontario (Kingston area).   Looking for locums, both short and long term at our family health team.  We have openings in the winter but primarily during all the summer months. Wonderful opportunity to work in a brand new building with a collegial group of 8 physicians in a well run FHT, on the shores of Lake Ontario.  We are also looking for 1 new permanent physician, e to take over practices for 1 retiring physician.  Our practices are true family practices, with multiple generations and all age groups represented.  This area has a great lifestyle - close to hiking/biking trails, many lakes, and beautiful cottage country.  All the amenities of a city and close to the country for outdoor pursuits.    We have ready access to specialists and a tertiary care hospital.  We have low overhead and a great team.

The FHT employs a full time Nurse practitioner, 2 RNs, social worker, RPNs, and dietician and OT.  Programs we offer in the clinic include a memory clinic, diabetes education, and smoking cessation (STOP and Ottawa model).  We also have a psychiatrist once a week for phone consults and direct consults, as part of the community outreach program.
