Job Description
The Division of Neurology at Markham Stouffville Hospital is currently seeking full-time Neurologists to serve in a brand-new Neuro-Hospitalist Consultant model of care at the hospital. This role includes daytime weekday inpatient consults and follow-ups to expedite care plans for patients on our Integrated Stroke Unit and for other neurological conditions throughout our hospital, as well as an in-hospital rapid-access Acute Neurology Outpatient Clinic to support expedited discharge and admission avoidance. Remuneration is fee-for-service, with no overhead required. Participation in the Neurology On-Call roster is also a requirement; this includes overnight/weekend call, as well as virtual consultation for Uxbridge Hospital and the Reactivation Care Centre.
Qualifications/Experience:
- An independent license or eligibility for an independent license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Neurology subspecialty certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent qualifications
