FHO OPPORTUNITY, SHELBURNE ONTARIO

Looking for a family doctor to join a FHO clinic in Shelburne, a community within commuting distance of the GTA.

We are a 7 doctor, physician run clinic with a cost sharing agreement.

We offer 8 weeks vacation coverage (i.e. internal coverage - so. no need to find a locum), with an additional week off over Christmas/New Year.

We have excellent nursing support who help with triaging / injections etc, and an NP to help with same day access when you’re away from the clinic.

We have access to a great team of allied health professionals through the Dufferin Area Family Health Team (diabetes team, psychotherapists, psychiatrist, respiratory therapists, chiropodist, dieticians, wound care nurse, physios, occupational therapist and social worker).

There are opportunities to teach residents and medical students from UoT and TMU for those with an interest in teaching.

Shelburne is an underserviced community with a RIO score 40. This means we are an eligible community for the Northern and Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative, offering a grant of $84,718 for eligible new physicians.
