ABOUT NL HEALTH SERVICES

We are a provincial health authority responsible for delivering quality health care to approximately 550,000 people in Newfoundland and Labrador. Supported by over 23,000 employees and physicians, our team works together to improve the health and well-being of every person, in every community. Guided by the vision of the Health Accord NL, we offer a range of health-care programs and services through a wide network of facilities, clinics, and community services across five zones: Central, Eastern-Rural, Eastern-Urban, Labrador-Grenfell, and Western.

At NL Health Services, we believe that our people — employees, doctors and volunteers — make it a great place to work. Every individual brings valuable knowledge, experience and perspective. It is in this diversity that we find strength. We are committed to embracing the distinct and complementary characteristics of our members, as we seek to eliminate health disparities, and ensuring we provide fair, equitable and quality health care to everyone.

If you are passionate about making a difference and providing exceptional health care, we want to hear from you. Join our team and be part of something extraordinary.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

NL Health Services is recruiting 3 exceptional physicians with dual Fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology to join the Diagnostic Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Division at Health Sciences Centre in St. John's, NL.

Health Sciences Centre is the tertiary referral centre for the province and houses the province's only PET/CT facility and a full suite of nuclear medicine services — including SPECT/CT, planar imaging, an active cardiac nuclear medicine program, and a growing Radiopharmaceutical Therapy (RPT) program currently employing ¹³¹I, ²²³Ra, Pluvicto, and Lutathera therapies. An established and expanding ¹³N-Ammonia PET Myocardial Perfusion Imaging (PET MPI) program is also in active development, with new therapeutic clinical trials added routinely.

The successful candidate will play a dual clinical and leadership role, contributing to the ongoing development of nuclear cardiology, oncologic nuclear medicine, and diagnostic radiology. This position offers significant academic, research, and program development opportunities in a collegial, team-oriented environment.

Work Environment

St. John's is a vibrant, historic city on the eastern tip of North America, consistently ranked among Canada's most liveable cities. The city offers a thriving arts and culture scene, outstanding seafood, world-class hiking on the East Coast Trail, and easy access to the stunning natural landscapes of the Avalon Peninsula. St. John's also offers a lower cost of living relative to major Canadian metros and short commutes.
