ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Surgical Services Program of NL Health Services – Eastern Urban Zone invites applications for a full-time Comprehensive Otolaryngologist within the Division of Otolaryngology at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital in St. John's, NL.

The successful candidate will join a team of nine (9) surgeons within the Division of Otolaryngology, providing comprehensive care to patients across Newfoundland and Labrador. The successful candidate will be primarily based at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital and will also hold credentials at the Janeway Children's Health and Rehabilitation Centre and Health Sciences Centre, all located in St. John's.

The full-time position will encompass an equal divisional share of main operating room time, clinic time, and minor procedure time. On-call expectations are distributed equitably across active divisional members and include province-wide coverage for adult and pediatric populations.

Active participation in the Division's academic, research, and education initiatives — including teaching and supervision of undergraduate students and postgraduate trainees — is expected. Opportunities for academic appointment are available through the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis beginning after August 1, 2026.
