New graduates welcomed!  This opportunity to establish a dream practice is possible with no investment necessary.  Support in all facets of establishing the practice is available. Fully equipped clinic and well-trained staff are standing by to help you do what you do best; practice medicine.  A combination of Clinical and Emergency services make this lucrative RNPGA practice an interesting opportunity for a rewarding clinical, and quality of life, experience. Physicians have the flexibility and freedom to manage their practice in an atmosphere of mutual support and interdisciplinary care.

Santé Manitouwadge Health is an award-winning Health Hub that offers one of the most integrated health systems in Ontario; with the Family Health Team, Clinic, Home Care Nursing, Rehab, Diagnostic Imaging, Lab, Hospital and LTC all on one site and under a single governance.  This is a turnkey operation, with the corporation providing all staffing support under contract. Office management is fully integrated with the FHT and Hospital, Home Care, Diabetes Education etc.  If you wish to work in a local health hub environment, this is it!

About The Manitouwadge Physicians Group

Clinical Practice:

•    4-5 days/week + hospital work
•    Clinic hours are generally 9am – 12pm and 1pm – 4pm
•    Appointments are 30 minutes
•    Admin time is incorporated into weekly schedule
•    Experienced support team includes nursing, a social worker, a dietitian, a physiotherapist, diabetes educator, as well as supportive administration staff 

Call Arrangements:

•    When fully staffed, call is 1 and 3
•    While on call, physicians cover a 10 bed in-patient unit and a 9 bed LTC unit
•    While on call, physicians cover short urgent care clinics throughout the week
•    Access to specialist support via the regional state-of-the-art tertiary centre and ER telemedicine connection that
  provides real time video conference contact with trauma and intensive care specialists 24-7 

Patient Volume:

•    Population is approx. 2000 residents
•    Hospital ER sees approx. 5-6 visits per day
•    Located 54 kms from main highway, we see minimal major trauma

Compensation:

•    RNPGA contract with average salary of 450K annually
•    Additional monthly hospital on-call remuneration is paid through HOCC
•    Manitouwadge is eligible for the NRRRI (MOH Norther and Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative) of $117,600 paid out over 4 years
• HealthForceOntario Northern and Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative (NRRR Initiative)
•    37 days of paid locum coverage
•    A fully furnished home is provided free of charge by the community (excluding taxes and utilities)
