Job Description
Role Title: Telemedicine Family Physician – Newcomer Health Hub (Remote / OHIP & IFHP)
About the Role: We are a specialized digital platform built for newcomers in Ontario. Many of our users are sick or in urgent need of medical documentation (for work, school, or government support) but don't have a family doctor yet. Our platform connects them to you for quick, high-impact medical support. We handle the "heavy lifting" of translation and intake so you can focus on the patient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rapid Video Consultations: Conduct 60-second synchronous video calls to verify patient needs and finalize care plans.
- Documentation & Forms: Assist newcomers with essential medical sign-offs, including bridge prescriptions and provincial/federal health forms (e.g., Special Diet, Ontario Works, or ODSP verifications).
- Dual Billing: Provide care for patients covered by OHIP (Provincial) or IFHP (Federal - Refugees/Claimants).
- Tech-Enabled Workflow: Use our integrated Chat & Translation interface to review patient history before jumping on the video call.
Compensation & Model:
- Model: 80/20 Fee-for-Service Split (You keep 80% of your billings; we take a 20% service fee for providing the platform and the patients).
- Expected Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 (Based on volume).
- Location: 100% Remote.
2026 Mandatory Disclosures:
- Vacancy Status: This is an existing vacancy.
- AI Disclosure: We use AI for real-time chat translation and admin support. AI is NOT used to screen or hire doctors.
- Experience: No "Canadian Experience" required.
Requirements:
- Independent Practice Certificate from the CPSO.
