We are seeking a Locum physician to provide coverage during a planned paternity leave. This is a 6-month position with an established patient panel and a supportive clinical team. Come join our dynamic group of 14 physicians in Rural Gibsons, BC, located a short ferry ride away from Vancouver on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Our spacious modern clinic has been fully electronic since 1997 and we have been using Med Access since 2008.
Dates:
Approximately January 1, 2027 to May 31, 2027 (we would be open to have part of this time covered, if unable to commit to the full 6 months). Minimum in clinic hours is 12 hours per week up to 35 hours per week (totally flexible depending on Locum preference).

If you are interested, there are also opportunities in the community for emergency room work (on APP contract).

Our community is well supported by local specialists, including General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry. Our hospital has on-site radiologists Monday through Friday, with after hours support provided by Lions Gate Hospital. Local imaging modalities include x-ray, ultrasound (including echocardiography), and CT.
