Job Description

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking interest from psychiatrists to support the Intensive Case Management Team at Lions Gate Hospital – Hope Centre. The role focuses on providing coordinated psychiatric care for individuals with substance use disorders and ensuring continuity of care between community and acute settings.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, nurses, peer support workers, occupational therapists, social workers, clinical counsellors, clients, and families.
This position follows a blended billing model (sessional and fee for service), with physicians responsible for their own billings.

Qualifications
Education, Licensing, & Experience:
• Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) – Full
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
• Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Mandatory

Additional qualification requirements:
• A Medical Degree and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
• Eligibility for a clinical faculty appointment with the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine is ideal.
• Candidates must meet credentialing requirements of Vancouver Coastal Health.
• Additionally, the candidate should have:
• Demonstrated ability working as a member of an interdisciplinary mental health team.
• Experience with MHSU
