Anesthesiologist– Full-Time

The Timmins and District Hospital (TADH) is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to join our innovative, multi-disciplinary referral and teaching hospital in Timmins.

The Timmins and District Hospital is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist. The successful candidate will provide coverage for 3-4 operating rooms daily. TADH supports over 1,500 inpatient and 2,500 day surgeries for general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology/Retina, OB/GYN, and Urology.

There is also an opportunity to teach and mentor medical students and family medicine residents, through affiliation with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.

Position Requirements

Candidates must:

• have (or be eligible for) Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Anesthesiology or their CCFP-FPA
• be (or eligible to be) licensed to practice as an Anesthesiologist in the Province of Ontario
• have (or be eligible to obtain) Canadian Medical Protective Associate (CMPA) coverage
• have a commitment to patient safety and high standards of care

Remuneration

Compensation is a combination of Fee-for-Service, a lucrative Northern Specialist Alternate Payment Plan, and a HOCC On-Call stipend.

Incentives

• The Timmins and District Hospital provides an incentive package up to $60,000 over four years.
• Applicants are eligible for a repayable interest-free loan up to $150,000.
• Applicants can apply for the Ministry of Health Northern and Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative (N3R). The N3R Initiative includes an $94,168 incentive over a 4-year period for Canadian citizens and permanent residents who establish a full-time practice in Timmins.
