Job Description

The Department of Internal Medicine, Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, and Shared Health Manitoba invite applications for a physician in the Section of Endocrinology.  The section is one of 18 in the Department of Internal Medicine, providing patient care, undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education, and research.  

This position includes an academic appointment within the Section of Endocrinology.

Section members provide direct specialized in-patient and out-patient ambulatory care to a wide variety of patients with hormonal and metabolic disorders including those living with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, endocrinology-related complications in pregnancies, thyroid cancers, osteoporosis, pituitary and reproductive disorders. Section members provide direct patient care via the ambulatory care clinics and through its’ consultative services at the two tertiary care teaching hospitals. Section members actively participate in undergraduate and postgraduate education. 

Candidates must have senior specialty qualifications in Endocrinology in the country of current practice and must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Certification in Endocrinology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is preferred.
