Aafiyat Medical Centre is seeking Family Physicians to join our growing multidisciplinary medical network across the Greater Toronto Area and Southwestern Ontario.
We are currently recruiting physicians for our Kitchener , Mississauga and Brampton locations. We welcome applications from physicians already licensed in Ontario, physicians currently in Canada, and internationally trained physicians from jurisdictions such as the United Kingdom, United States, Ireland, Australia, and other recognized training systems who may be eligible for CPSO registration.
This opportunity may be suitable for physicians who are already CPSO licensed, currently completing CPSO registration, or reasonably expected to become eligible for CPSO registration within the next few months. LMIA and work permit support may be available for eligible candidates, but candidates must independently meet CPSO licensing requirements.
Aafiyat Medical Centre provides a supportive, high-volume, patient-centered environment with administrative support, EMR infrastructure, referral pathways, and access to in-house and affiliated specialists.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive family medicine care to patients of all ages
- Assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic medical conditions
- Providing preventive care, health screening, vaccinations, and chronic disease management
- Maintaining accurate and timely medical records using EMR
- Coordinating referrals to specialists and allied health providers when required
- Participating in walk-in, urgent care, or rostered family medicine services depending on the agreed practice model
- Working collaboratively with physicians, specialists, nurses, administrative staff, and allied health providers
- Supporting continuity of care and patient-centered medical home principles
Ideal candidates will have:
- Eligibility for CPSO registration, or current CPSO registration
- Family Medicine training from Canada, the UK, USA, Ireland, Australia, or another recognized jurisdiction
- For UK physicians: GMC registration, MRCGP, CCT, or equivalent pathway will be considered an asset
- For US physicians: ABFM, ABMS, ACGME training, USMLE, or equivalent pathway will be considered an asset
- CCFP, LMCC, or MCCQE is an asset, but not mandatory if the candidate qualifies through another CPSO-recognized pathway
- Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care
- Interest in long-term practice development in Ontario
