About the Community:

Situated on the unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik and Mi’kmaq peoples, Fredericton is nestled along the beautiful and bountiful Wolastoq river. Fredericton is a green, vibrant, and culturally diverse city where you can enjoy the amenities of a large city with all the charm of a small town. Nature lovers and urban go-getters alike will appreciate the countless year-round recreational opportunities including: playing a round of golf on one of the numerous golf courses; walking, running or biking within our 140 kilometre multi-use trail system; playing tennis or pickleball on our indoor or outdoor courts; skiing and snowboarding at Crabbe Mountain; eating at the many locally owned and operated restaurants, enjoying a drink at one of Fredericton’s many microbreweries, visiting the beautiful, recently renovated Beaverbrook Art Gallery; taking in live theatre at the Playhouse; or enjoying the unforgettable experience of one of the many music festivals, such as the famous Harvest Music Festival. Fredericton truly has much to offer anyone and is only a short flight to larger cities such as Toronto, Montreal, New York City, or Boston for easy access to everything else.

The city, including the historic and gorgeous downtown area, is affordable and exceedingly livable, but if a more rural lifestyle is preferred, there are numerous, easily commutable, surrounding communities in which to make your home. Rated Canada’s 2nd best city to live in, it is no surprise the friendly, nature-infused community of Fredericton has attracted a team-oriented group of innovating physicians and health care workers.
