Compensation
Compensation will be comprised of the following:
1) Cancer Care Alberta AHS remuneration for 60% Malignant Hematology services. Remuneration will depend on clinical experience and comply with the agreement between Cancer Care Alberta, Alberta Health Services and the Alberta Medical Association. Compensation Grid Compensation range is between Level 1 $249,715 per annum and Level 3 $318,805 per annum.
2) Fee for Service arrangement for 40% Non-Malignant Hematology services.
Additional support from Cancer Care Alberta:
CCA provides a recruitment support that includes the following conditional on leadership approval:
1. Relocation Support: up to $18,500 for recruits within North America and up to $25,000 for recruits outside North America.
2. AHS Sponsorship Support if required.
3. Immigration (work permit visa support) if required.

Job Description
Cancer Care Alberta, Alberta Health Services, Community Oncology invite applications for a full-time clinician within the discipline of Hematology and Hematological Malignancies. The successful applicant will become a member of a multidisciplinary cancer program located at the Central Alberta Cancer Centre in Red Deer, Alberta, and will join a team of Medical and Radiation Oncologists, Nurse Practitioners and medical support staff working in the Central Zone.
This position is based at the Central Alberta Cancer Centre, Red Deer, AB and will provide malignant hematology services as part of the malignant hematology group service commitment to the patients of the Central Zone. Services will include 60% Malignant Hematology, CCA and 40% Non-Malignant Hematology, Central Zone.
Responsibilities will include participation in ambulatory clinics and other responsibilities will include participation in local and provincial tumour team-based activities including clinical case reviews at tumour board rounds, annual, provincial tumour team meetings and local quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives.
The position is sponsorship and LMIA eligible.

Qualifications include a MD, FRCPC (or equivalent) with training in Hematology. Additional training in Malignant Hematology or a Malignant Hematology subspecialty would be an asset. The successful applicants should be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
