  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to design, test, and implement clinical tools, including but not limited to order sets, documentation templates, and clinical pathways.
  • Drive integration of evidence-based methodologies into the design and optimization of CIS tools, ensuring alignment with clinical and organizational priorities.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

  • Collaborate with prescribers, clinical leaders, and Digital Health governance groups to identify improvement opportunities and ensure CIS updates meet user needs.
  • Develop and disseminate guidance and educational materials tailored to prescribers, promoting system literacy and satisfaction.
  • Represent the CMIO office in provincial committees, advisory groups, and Connect Care Communities of Practice.

Capacity Building and Innovation:

  • Build organizational capacity by empowering clinical teams to effectively use and optimize Connect Care assets.
  • Serve as a key advisor on the impact of CIS enhancements, considering their implications across specialties and workflows.
  • Analyze and share outcomes of CIS-driven improvements, supporting data-driven decision-making and innovation.

Training and Certification:

  • Obtain and maintain Epic Physician Builder certification, including the Advanced (CLN160) course, to ensure mastery of system capabilities.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities, leveraging tools like Signal, NEAT, and user feedback to guide training strategies.

Change Management and Governance:

  • Facilitate smooth implementation of CIS changes, ensuring alignment with provincial standards and readiness at the local level.
