Boardwalk Family Care is seeking a physician for a 9-month long-term locum opportunity beginning September 8, 2026. Join a collaborative and supportive clinic environment within a large, well-established FHO in Waterloo. This opportunity offers flexibility, excellent administrative support, and a manageable patient roster.

Opportunity Details

• Type of Opportunity: Long-term coverage
• Start Date: September 8, 2026
• Duration: Approximately 9 months
• Schedule: 2–3 half-days per week
  • Occasional evening clinic for the third half-day
• Clinic Hours: Half-days are approximately 3 hours each, plus admin/documentation time
• Patient Roster: Approximately 300–400 patients
• Estimated Volume: 10–16 patients per half-day

Clinic Information

• Collaborative clinic with:
  • 3 co-located physicians
  • 1 Physician Assistant
• Strong administrative support:
  • 2 in-person MOAs for patient rooming, clinical support, and administration
  • 1 remote MOA managing phone calls
• EMR: Telus PSS

FHO Details

• Part of a 24-physician Family Health Organization
• On-call expectations:
  • Approximately 1 evening per month
  • 2 weekends over the duration of the locum
• Call coverage managed through same-day appointments from 5–8 pm, with notes forwarded to the patient’s family physician

Compensation

• Compensation structure to be discussed based on the new FHO+ billing model
• Overhead/split: TBD
