Seeking Locum Coverage (12 Months, Mat Leave, Flexible Start, Flexible Schedule)
North Renfrew Family Health Team, Deep River, ON
Location: Nestled along the Ottawa River in Eastern Ontario, Deep River is a charming, small town, ideal for those seeking a supportive community to practice family medicine while enjoying the great outdoors. Located approximately 2 hours west of Ottawa, ON & 2 hours east of North Bay, ON, Deep River is right off the Trans Canada Highway making for a convenient commute.
Ideal Start Date: August or September 2026
Duration: 12 months ideally, however if available for partial coverage, please reach out to discuss.
Roster Details: Approximately 950 well-managed patients
Schedule: 2-3 full days per week, 0830 – 1630 hrs. Flexible on which days of the week and hours. Option to schedule half days if preferable. Evening and weekend clinic hours not required.
Remuneration: $1000 per day. Requesting inbox management. Please reach out to discuss further.
EMR/Office Details: The North Renfrew Family Health Team is located onsite of Deep River and District Health. Brand new clinic opened September 2025, just foot steps away from the Emergency Department, Medical Inpatient Unit, as well as Lab and Imaging Services. The FHT team is made up of two full-time physicians, two-part time physicians, two nurse practitioners, as well as a supportive team of allied health professionals and administrative staff. EMR in place is Telus PS Suite with Ocean platform.
Additional details: Opportunities available for those interested in covering Hospital Inpatients during your time in Deep River, as well as shifts in the Emergency Department. The opportunity to join the practice following your locum is an option, should you feel it is the right fit for you.
