OB/GYN LOCUM OPPORTUNITY

Maternity leave locum available from March 1, 2025 to August 31, 2025, or any portion thereof. Option to only do on-call shifts is also available if desired. Full time position available following locum coverage for the right fit!

Looking for coverage for a maternity leave at Woodstock Hospital. We have a group of 5 amazing, full-time OB/GYNs with some weekend locum coverage. Calls are 24 hours on weekdays and 48 hours on Saturday/Sunday. Home call for anyone within 20 minutes, otherwise an on-call room is available, and there are also discounted rates at two hotels if desired. Easy commute from many close by cities including London, Hamilton, and Kitchener-Waterloo.

We have around 1100 deliveries per year, which has been increasing yearly. We are a level 1B centre and currently have two pediatricians, as well as family physicians who do the majority of well-baby care. We are in the process of adding on a third pediatrician with the goal of opening a level 2 nursery.

Practice consists of full scope community OB/GYN, 1 in 5 call, and being in the operating room once per week, where alternating operating and assisting weekly with an experienced gynecologist colleague. Amazing, up to date OR equipment available including recently additions of the Novasure and Myosure! There is some flexibility to pick up more or do less call as we have some locums that cover weekends.
