Position Title:Psychiatrist
Location: Precision medical centre
Job Type:Full-time/Part-time
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to diagnose psychiatric conditions.
- Treatment Planning:Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy, tailored to patients’ needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including family physicians, psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to provide holistic care.
- Medication Management:Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring patients receive the safest and most effective treatment options.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate care for patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises, including risk assessments and stabilization.
- Documentation:Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with clinic policies and professional standards.
- Education and Support:Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Virtual Care:Provide virtual psychiatric consultations, following billing and privacy regulations.
- Supervision (optional):May involve supervising residents, fellows, or allied health professionals, depending on experience.

Skills Required
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario..
- Certification in Psychiatry from [Insert certifying body, e.g., Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada].
- Expertise in managing a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, and addiction.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based and patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Multilingual skills (preferred but not required).
