Lake of the Woods District Hospital (LWDH), in partnership with Kenora Chiefs Advisory (KCA), is seeking full-time Pediatricians to join a newly developed and collaborative pediatric program serving Kenora and surrounding Indigenous communities. This is a unique opportunity to shape a growing service in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Practice Highlights

• Comprehensive Scope: Inpatient and outpatient care, ED consultations, and community outreach.
• Collaborative Scheduling: Rotating clinic and on-call schedules developed with the Service Lead.
• Program Development: Involvement in shaping services, including community clinics and inpatient care.
• Travel: Fleet vehicles provided for outreach to KCA communities; trave time (drive in/out) is included within your 8hr day. 

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual Salary: $342,456.45 per 1.0 FTE 
• Shadow Billing: Additional 51.2%
• Critical Mass Stipend: $42,625 shared among the pediatric team
• On-Call Compensation: $511.68/day
• Overhead: 4% fee covers office, supplies, clinic support, and billing services
• Work Schedule: 44 weeks/year with 6 weeks vacation and 2 weeks CME
• FTE: Based on 45 hours/week; 

Qualifications

• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• CMPA Coverage
• Entitled to work in Canada
• Pediatric certification (FRCPC or equivalent)
• Experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset
