Rheumatology
The Department of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology is seeking two Full Time Associates.
The selected candidate will participate in on call coverage for Rheumatology consultations on inpatient wards and emergency department. The position requires excellent communication skills in English. Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees.
Qualifications
The candidates must have a Certificate of Registration to practice from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario and have certification in Rheumatology from the College of Family Physicians of Canada or hold Fellowship in Rheumatology from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada. The position requires excellent communication skills in English. Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population.
About the Program
William Osler Health System serves more than a million residents and is accredited with Exemplary Standing, the highest rating a Canadian hospital can receive.Selected candidates will participate in on all coverage for Rheumatology consultations on in patient wards and emergency department. Due to a strong Internal Medicine and Hospitalist group, there are no expectations to assume MRP on any patient. There is opportunity for participation in clinical education and research as WOHS is an integral clinical partner in the development of the new medical school opening in Brampton in partnership with Toronto Metropolitan University. WOHS is also affiliated with McMaster University Michael DeGroote School of Medicine Family Medicine Program as an Academic Community Teaching Site. Moreover there is the turnkey opportunity to join the Rheumatology Associates Brampton outpatient practice located conveniently near major highways in south Brampton.
