ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Cancer Care Program of NL Health Services – Eastern Urban Zone invites applications for locum opportunity for Medical Oncologist position based at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre in St. John’s.
The program has a provincial mandate to deliver comprehensive cancer care across Newfoundland and Labrador, with regional systemic therapy services available in Corner Brook, Gander, and Grand Falls-Windsor. The Centre supports active multidisciplinary tumour boards and is co-located with surgical and medical subspecialty services.
The successful candidate will join a team of 13 Medical Oncologists (9.34 clinical FTE) and will contribute to high-quality, collaborative cancer care. This position is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador and includes opportunities for teaching and research.

Role Expectations
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumour boards and collaborative care planning
- Manage two primary disease sites and provide support for at least one additional site
- Contribute to provincial cancer care initiatives
- Engage in teaching, academic, and research activities, including clinicaal trials
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized institution
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification (or equivalent) in Medical Oncology
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of NL (https://www.cpsnl.ca)
- Satisfactory completion of credentialing requirements, including criminal record and vulnerable sector checks

Salary and benefits are in accordance with the current Locum policies of in Newfoundland and Labrador.
