Job Description:
The Inglewood Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and patient-centred Family Physician to join our collaborative team of healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services while contributing to the clinic's mission of delivering high-quality, accessible, and preventative healthcare to our community.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan - infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
• Diagnose and manage a full spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, respiratory disorders, mental health
• Conduct periodic health examinations, chronic disease management, prenatal and postnatal care, and routine wellness visits.
• Deliver preventive care, ensuring that immunizations, cancer screenings, and other age-appropriate health maintenance measures are up to date.
• Promote healthy lifestyle practices through patient education, counselling, and evidence-based wellness strategies.
• Utilize a proactive and anticipatory approach to identify emerging health issues and intervene early to improve outcomes.
• Act as a patient advocate, facilitating access to community programs, specialists, and support services.
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage as part of a shared call rotation with other physicians at the clinic.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, case discussions, and interdisciplinary meetings to enhance clinical practice.
• Perform in-office minor procedures.
Qualifications:
Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA
• Must be eligible for a CPSA practice permit and willing to complete a Practice Readiness Assessment (PRA) as required by the CPSA.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing comprehensive, evidence-based primary care in alignment with CPSA and AHS standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
