Job Description
Alberta Health Services – Northeast Region and the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre - Fort McMurray, are currently looking for a Diagnostic Radiologist to join their current team of Radiologist. This position will provide Radiology services, with a key focus in reading patient scans.
The successful candidate is required to offer consistent Diagnostic Radiologist services, anywhere within Alberta, and may be requested to offer in person services, within the Fort McMurray Northern Lights Regional Health Centre, on occasion.
The remote Alberta location is the candidate's independent business decision and will not be managed through the recruitment process.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Establish and maintain a remote based full-time practice within Alberta, with flexibility to be on-site to offer in person services when and where necessary.
- Obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate privileges to provide the Services.
- Provide call assistance as per call schedules, including equal participation in the Diagnostic Radiologist call schedule, as required.
- Abide by the AHS Medical Staff Bylaws, the AHS Medical Staff Rules and AHS policies.
- Participate in quality improvement programs and initiatives undertaken within the Zone Clinical Department of Diagnostic Radiology.
- Participate in relevant Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs.
- Contribute to and participate in other administrative duties, as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with peers and care team colleagues in support of patient care.

Candidate must have hands on Diagnostic Imaging/Medical Imaging experience in Rural setting within the past 1-2 years. Experience in offering these services as the sole provider required.
