We prioritize preventive medicine, patient education, and long-term wellness, giving physicians the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with their patients while practicing medicine in a supportive and professionally rewarding environment.
Family Physician Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate medical histories.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Prescribe and administer treatments, medications, and immunizations.
- Provide vaccinations, preventive care, and health coaching to support patients in achieving lifestyle and wellness goals.
- Counsel patients and families on health, lifestyle, disease prevention, and chronic disease management.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, allied health professionals, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical technology and evidence-based practices to continuously improve patient outcomes.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with patients and the community.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) from a recognized institution
- Certification in Family Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP)
- Eligible for an independent practice license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- Licensure by the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical practice experience preferred (new graduates and international medical graduates with CPSO eligibility are welcome to apply)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-centered care skills
