Job Description
Health PEI is seeking Hematologists to provide treatment for hematologic malignancies for patients across the province.
You will work closely with a small group of Medical and Hematologic Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Family Medicine (GPO) and Nurse Practitioner colleagues. Services are provided at the PEI Cancer Treatment Center, attached to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown, and our satellite clinic located at the Prince County Hospital in Summerside. You will be expected to share on call service with the other physicians, share coverage with colleagues for vacations and absences, and provide limited inpatient consultations and inpatient care.
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital is a secondary care facility with a wide variety of medical, surgical and laboratory services. For specialized surgeries and for hematologic transplant services we work closely with colleagues in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Appointments at the regional medical schools are an option.
