2-4 Week Locum Opportunity in a FHO/FHT Group Practice

A physician in a 3- member group practice is seeking locum to cover her practice for two weeks, July 20-30, 2026, with the opportunity for the locum to work up to four weeks, July 13-Aug 10, 2026.

The successful candidate will be providing coverage 3.5 days per week, during the office hours of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (9 am to 5 pm) and Friday (9 am to 1 pm) with Wednesdays off. The locum will receive a competitive daily stipend.

With approximately 1,350 rostered and approximately 100 additional un-rostered patients the locum physician will be providing care to a balanced and diverse roster. The practice receives administrative support from an office assistant, 2 full-time receptionists, a bookkeeper/billings assistant, and a referral assistant. As part of the Hamilton Family Health Team the practice also receives support from a wide variety of Allied Health Care Professionals including a full-time RN as well as a dietitian, counsellor, clinical pharmacist and psychiatrist. 

The site includes 2 exam rooms (for each physician in the group) as well as an individual office/charting area, a reception area and waiting room, and free parking for both staff and patients. The practice is also located in a well-equipped medical building which includes a physiotherapy clinic, pharmacy, x-ray, dental office, and hearing centre. The practice uses Telus PS EMR.
