Opportunity to Take Over an Established FHO-FHT Practice on the Hamilton Mountain

A physician with a solo FHO practice on the Hamilton Mountain would like to retire and is seeking a suitable candidate to take over her practice. This solo practice is part of a 7-physician FHO as well as the Hamilton Family Health Team (HFHT) and provides care for a roster of approximately 1,600 patients.

The practice is currently located on the east Hamilton Mountain just minutes away from the Lincoln Alexander Parkway and the Red Hill Valley Parkway as well as the Stoney Creek Mountain. The practice is situated in a plaza which includes ample free parking (for both staff and patients) as well as a physiotherapy clinic, pharmacy, and additional family practices. As part of the Hamilton Family Health Team the practice also receives off-site psychiatrist and mental health counselling support which is covered through the HFHT. The practice is also supported by a full-time receptionist and contains 5 rooms which may be used as exam rooms, offices, and storage space for the practice. The practice utilizes Accuro EMR for patient records and also receives support through Doctors Care.

Current office hours are Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. with Wednesdays off. The successful candidate will be required to provide evening on-call coverage to the FHO for 1 day per week (from 5 pm – 9 pm) with weekend call coverage approximately 3 times per year.
