JOB OPPORTUNITY at the Massey Medical Clinic

 SEEKING 1 FULL-TIME PHYSICIAN

Hello, we are the Massey Medical Clinic.  We are a friendly, hard working group of 7 that consists of 2 part-time Family Physicians, 1 full-time Family Physician, Nurse Practitioner, an RPN, phlebotomist and reception.  Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 9-4:30 pm, no weekends and no walk-in. Our lab is open Tuesday-Friday from 8-12:30pm.

Our community is a very close-knit community, with a population of about 3200 residents.  We service the Sables-Spanish Rivers area, which includes, Massey, Webbwood and Walford.  We also service neigbouring Sagamok Anishnawebek First Nation.

We are located along Hwy 17, 3 hours from Sault Ste Marie (population 70 000) and 1 hour from Sudbury (the hard rock mining capital of the world), with a population of about 170 000.  Sudbury and Sault Ste Marie have plenty of stores, malls, theatres, restaurants and more to satisfy your shopping and entertainment needs.  

Our community has 2 local schools, 2 hardware stores, churches, restaurants, convenience stores, a grocery store, pharmacy and a gas station.  You won’t necessarily need to travel far for anything. 

If you enjoy the great outdoors, then this is absolutely the place for you!  We are surrounded by plenty of lakes, resorts, camp grounds and crown land for camping, fishing and hiking. We have multiple natural water springs in and around our community.

Our community is home to the well-known Chutes Provincial Park.  The Spanish River runs along-side our town and is the water way to beautiful Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.  Manitoulin Island, the largest fresh water island in the world, is only about an hour away.  You can drive or walk on to the local ferry, the Chi-cheemaun, from South Bay Mouth to Tobermory and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

The closest hospital is in Espanola, which is about a 15-minute drive.

The closest airport is in Sudbury.

Toronto is only a 1 hour flight from Sudbury or if you choose to travel by car, it is only a 4 hour drive.

We are looking for 1 physician to join our practice, full-time.  We are an RNPGA2.

We have 2 experienced physicians who have been here at the clinic for approximately 20 years, so there will be plenty of support and flexible transition for the new physician joining our team.
