6-Week Locum Opportunity in a FHO in Ancaster, ON

A family physician who is part of a small group practice in Ancaster is looking for a locum to support his practice for 6 weeks, July 20-August 28, 2026. Working up to 8 half days per week to support the well-established and stable patient population via in-person and virtual visits, the locum can expect to work full days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and half-days on Wednesday and Friday. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a casual, community-based practice with a manageable daily flow and a welcoming team.

As a practice affiliated to the Hamilton FHT, you will be supported by nursing including an RN, RPN and NP, as well as a Mental Health Counsellor, Registered Dietitian, Clinical Pharmacist, and Psychiatrist, with access to additional FHT services such as Mental Health and Nutrition Groups. The team is also supported by a full-time receptionist.

The locum will have access to up to 2 exam rooms, with the office having designated space for allied health staff. Free parking is available on-site. The practice uses Telus PS EMR and Ocean for eReferrals.

The locum can expect to receive a daily stipend as well as 100% shadow billings.
