Elliot Lake is seeking three (3) full-time family physicians to work out of the Family Health Team.  The other areas of practice you can choose from to compliment your family practice are OBS, in-patients, emergency room on call, operating room assisting.  Elliot Lake offers a diverse range of areas of practice. 

Location

Elliot Lake is a four-season destination, with something for all outdoor enthusiast such as an 18-hole golf course, modern downhill ski hill and trails for hiking, snowshoeing and four wheeling.   The community is surrounded by pristine crownland and several lakes for your choice of water activities. Elliot Lake has small town charm with many urban amenities. We are in the Algoma District.  It is north of Lake Huron, midway between the cities of Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie in the Northern Ontario Region.

Facilities

The Elliot Lake Family Health Team is the clinic setting for Elliot Lake’s eight (8) family physicians; however, the team also includes a Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurses, Registered Dietitian, a Registered Social Worker, Registered Pharmacist, Chiropodist and Registered Respiratory Therapist – all working together with the physicians to provide patient-centered care under one roof. The St. Joseph’s General Hospital has a fifty-seven (57) bed capacity with a 24-hour emergency department, six (6) bed ICU, four (4) bed obstetrical, two (2) operating theatres, satellite chemotherapy unit, full range laboratory, radiology department with X-ray, Ultrasound, ECHO and bone density modalities and Ontario Telemedicine Network studio.
