Job Description
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centred care to approximately 30-40 residents and patients as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include on-site rounding and order reviews, participating in resident care conferences, and providing call coverage on a 1:6 rotation (including weekdays, weekends, and statutory holidays). The role also involves contributing to quality improvement initiatives, program planning and evaluation, health promotion activities, and supporting medical education within the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s integrated care system.
Job Qualifications
- The candidate will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Successful applicants will be eligible for a provisional or regular license to practice in Saskatchewan from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
- This individual should be a collaborative team player, capable of interacting effectively with patients, colleagues, staff, and management. They must excel in a high-volume clinical environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.
- All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; in accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
- The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check is required for individuals providing patient/resident/client care to vulnerable persons.
