ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
NL Health Services – Eastern Rural Zone invites applications for two (2) permanent full-time salaried Family Medicine Physicians at the Dr. S. Beckley Health Centre in Grand Bank, NL. Locum opportunities are also available.
The successful candidates will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients and families in Grand Bank and the surrounding Burin Peninsula area. The position includes a broad scope of practice encompassing ambulatory care, inpatient coverage, emergency care, and after-hours on-call coverage shared equitably among the physician group. On-call is billable to the Medical Care Plan (MCP).

QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized institution
- Canadian College of Family Physicians (CCFP) certification preferred
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (www.cpsnl.ca)
- Must satisfy credentialing requirements of NL Health Services including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive primary care services including ambulatory clinics, inpatient coverage, and emergency care
- Provide chronic disease management, palliative care, and acute care services
- Participate in after-hours and on-call coverage shared equitably among the physician group
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of physicians and allied health professionals
- Support person- and family-centered care; promote patient and worker safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements

REMUNERATION
Permanent Full-Time: Remuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador, commensurate with level of experience. On-call is billable to the Medical Care Plan (MCP).
Locum: As per NL Health Services Locum Policy — travel, accommodations, and rental car provided as well as costs related to CPSNL licensure.
