Position Summary

East Guelph Medical Clinic (EGMC) is seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to join our growing multidisciplinary outpatient medical clinic in Guelph, Ontario.

EGMC is a modern, community-based clinic serving a diverse and rapidly growing population. The successful candidate will provide outpatient psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and management for adult patients referred internally by our family physicians and through community referrals.

Clinic Overview

• Location: East Guelph, Ontario
• Multidisciplinary family health clinic
• Multiple full-time family physicians
• On-site administrative and clinical support staff
• Fully paperless clinic using OSCAR EMR
• Strong and consistent referral base
• No emergency, inpatient, or on-call requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient psychiatric consultations and follow-up care
• Conduct diagnostic assessments and treatment planning
• Manage mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD, PTSD, and other general adult psychiatric conditions
• Collaborate closely with family physicians and allied health professionals
• Provide medication management and psychotherapy where appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR
• Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions as needed

Position Details

• Outpatient practice only
• Flexible schedule (1–2 days per week or more by mutual agreement)
• No weekends or statutory holidays required
• No hospital call or inpatient responsibilities
• Remuneration via OHIP fee-for-service billing
• Competitive overhead split
• Full administrative, booking, and billing support provided

Qualifications

• Fellowship in Psychiatry (FRCPC) or equivalent
• Eligible for independent licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Eligible for OHIP billing
• CMPA coverage in good standing
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
