Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Alberta Health Services (AHS) Calgary Zone, and the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary is actively recruiting a 0.5FTE OB Generalist OBGYN position based at the Foothills Medical Centre. The selected candidate will be expected to have between 1-2 ORs assigned monthly, spanning major OR and minor OR suites. Candidates with fellowship subspeciality training will also be considered. All candidates must also have an interest is practicing obstetrics and providing prenatal care (inpatient and outpatient). The selected candidate is expected to provide a minimum of 2 OBGYN clinics on-site at the Women's Health Centre at Foothills Hospital, negotiable for more if desired. This is a clinical role and there is no expectation to contribute to administrative or research requirements. The Foothills Hospital is a teaching site and therefore the candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching of learners while providing clinical duties. There will be opportunity to be able to pick up additional scramble OR and call shifts. Candidates must have their FRCSC in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.  All candidates will be required to have clinical academic appointments with the Cummings School of Medicine University of Calgary.

Qualifications:

FRCSC Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Incumbent must be an active member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a member in good standing.

The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

Must read, write and speak English.
